The other day, a classmate in a literary workshop pointed out that the only way for a creative text to be perfectly written was if it had been sifted through the machine language of an Artificial Intelligence. Thus, she used documents created by an AI as a template for her literary creations.
My comment was that the text would probably have the charm of a clockwork orange and would cause in its reader a "Ludovico effect" similar to the one that made the homicidal "Alex," conceived by Anthony Burgess, become a social icon. A text created by AI can be judged perfect according to academic canons; and its realism will perfectly adjust to the technical utopias that constitute artistic genres. But creativity is chaos, dystopia, imperfection.
Seeing the bored expressions my classmates displayed, I concluded my digression. I apologized for my vehemence and proposed that we continue with our fair of vanities and artifices.
